Donna is a native of Waynesboro, PA. She specializes in oil portraits. Donna is an impressionist, realist, and a blender of originality and tradition, winning many best of shows, and numerous other awards for her portraits and other subjects from flowers to genre, including sculptures in bronze.

As a child Donna was fascinated by faces and started sketching from life at an early age. At the age of 16 she started to paint pastel portraits of her neighbors and family. For many years she painted pastel portraits by commission. She discovered oil paint and it has been her favorite medium for portraits & commissions ever since.

Donna is a graduate of The Washington School of Art and has studied with several regionally and nationally known portrait and oil painting artists. She enjoys painting people from life or photos and strives to capture the unique personality of each. Donna’s portraits have been exhibited at the Cumberland Valley and the Valley Art Shows both held at the Hagerstown Fine Art Museum. Donna had a one woman show at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, Hagerstown Md. in 2002.

She is a member of many regional art associations, including the The American Society of Portrait Artists, The Valley Art Association, The Waynesboro Studio Club and The Franklin County Art Alliance. Donna's work is displayed at her studio located at 5797 Iron Bridge Road, Waynesboro, PA as well as The Mansion House Art Gallery, Hagerstown, MD. Among her Portraits, five hang in the Franklin County Court House annex, the late County Commissioner Joe Ausherman, Judge Chauncey Depuy, Judge William Kaye, Judge John Keller, Commissioner Fred Rock - Charlie B. Byers at the Roxbury Holiness Camp - Father Benedict L. Wolf at St. Stephens Church and in many homes and private collections.
